Welcome to my project. I'm a 12 year old 7th grader. I really like to draw and have been drawing for about 3 or 4 years. Some stuff i also like is cats, anime, theatre, and painting. This is an NFT profile picture project that I created with my dad.
My school is hosting a school field trip to Japan next spring. I have always been very interested in Japanese culture and tradition. And I love all the food (or what I have been able to try here in the USA). I am a budding artist and one of my favorite art styles is traditional japanese manga, so this adds to my interest in Japan. When I asked my parents if I could go, they said that we didn't have the money for a big trip like that. My dad works in the NFT space, and I asked him if we could make an NFT to raise money for the trip. He agreed and this is how Meowsies was born.
This project was created to raise the money for my trip to Japan. This project is unique in that I will document and write down all the steps we took to create the NFT. This will allow other kids to create projects like this and raise money to do similar things. In addition to writing down all the steps, I thought it would also be fun and cool to all the people that support me that I redraw the project 2 more times over the next year and give everyone a free NFT that has the same traits but will be in a different style based on my abilites and interests at the time they are created. This will let people see how I change and progress as an artist. So purchasing a Meowsie will help me get to Japan, but will also get you 3 total NFTs over the next year.
This project was mostly made by me and my dad. I also want to say thank you to my sister, my mom, and my dog because they helped me along the way to do this.
